Larimer Square is the block where Denver began, making it Denver’s most historic block. It is evolving and continues to be a special place in the face of a global pandemic, as creative entrepreneurs continue to bring new life and more drinking and dining spots to the historic downtown block. Larimer Square will have six new restaurants this fall. Optimism isn’t the only think driving the opening of new restaurants and markets in the heart of downtown Denver during these COVID-19 stricken times. Creativity and an opportunity to revive a festive getaway are also key to the Larimer Square refresh that is happening.

There will be seven new culinary endeavors popping up around the downtown block over the course of the next month or so, including an ice cream shop, a locally sourced market and wine shop, and a Chinese-inspired pub and tearoom. The intention behind each one is rooted in a desire to bring younger visitors to Larimer Square. Take a look at what’s open now and what’s to come!

These new storefronts will help continue to ensure that Larimer Square maintains its reputation for being a great place to celebrate the holidays in festive fashion, with several winter events to choose from, including: scavenger hunts, live music, seasonal bites and beverages, Denver’s Restaurant week, Holiday photos with Santa’s Sleigh or under the twinkling lights and banners of the Square, Larimer Square’s Holiday Market, and Holiday tree & display lots.

Whether you want to bring the pup somewhere, have additional celebrations on tap and/or are seeking a romantic evening (Ex: Larimer Square is a popular proposal spot), or are looking for a family-friendly time during the holidays, there is a holiday event for everyone at Larimer Square this holiday season, including Santa on the Square, Yuletide Window Walk, and Paws & Claus holiday events. Come one, come all to a Larimer Square that welcomes you to brighten your spirits in festive fashion, at the end of a tough 2020 year!
